The use of health

Being healthy is a priority for human happiness. Health is often perceived as a condition that exists spontaneously. However, people need to make an effort to be healthy. There is a health favoured by the Creator. Not knowing how to use it in the best way, like a part that spoils the whole, will fundamentally affect other directions. To know how to protect and safeguard health means to make other practices livable.

The use of health is divided into two as body and soul.

In order to know how to use physical health, it is necessary to know three things well. These are cleanliness, sleep and nutrition.

Cleanliness requires the body and environmental conditions to be sterilised[82]. All measures taken in this way are called hygiene[83].

Sleep requires sufficient time to be allocated for it and a favourable environment. The best time for healthy sleep is between 22.00 and 03.00. The most favourable place is to provide the body with comfortable conditions.

Nutrition requires a good knowledge of food and the amounts to be taken. It is necessary to pay attention to emulsifiers[84] when using these foodstuffs. Jews are behind these products. There is no information about the mixtures in emulsifiers. There is also no detailed information about it. It is found in almost every product consumed. There is no information on the product other than the letter “E” denoting the emulsifier and a number whose unit of measurement is unclear. While it is the most natural right of people to know what they are fed, the Jews have taken this right away from humanity. In order to dominate the world, the Jews, who started with the intention of taking over the food sector, which is the sector where consumption is the most common, found this mixture to prevent spoilage, since the consumption periods of foods are limited. This mixture was invented with the aim of dominating the world in terms of power by making the products last longer with a purely commercial logic and thus gaining more profit. The invention has nothing to do with health.

As for the determination of the amount of nutrition, this is the most important factor for the protection and correct use of health.

As a matter of fact, our Prophet (PBUH) informs us about this formula as follows: “We are such an ummah that we do not sit down to the table before we are hungry and we get up before we are full.”

Maintaining mental health requires keeping a distance and moderation from ailments related to age, gender, habits, social life, marital status and professional status. In order to stay away from these, the person must ensure happiness and peace in his/her inner world. The only way to do this is to remember the Creator.

Dhikr: It has various meanings such as honour, prayer and book (Quran). In order for dhikr to maintain mental health, honour must meet faith, prayer must meet obedience, and the book must meet application in life.

Allah (swt) says:

These are those who believe and whose hearts are satisfied with the remembrance of Allah. Be aware that the hearts are satisfied[85] only with the remembrance of Allah[86].

Use of Money

In order to know how to use money well, it is necessary to determine the purpose of its use and acquisition.

As the purpose of use, money should be determined only as a tool for the disposition of things[87]. Otherwise, the money available will start to use its owner. Gaining importance along with itself deprives people of their values. In Islam, money is not a superiority, but a tool to be used and a responsibility given to its owner. This is the reason why the rich are made to wait to enter paradise.

Money makes people, whose aim is only to consume, servants and slaves to themselves. Those who worship money do not earn it in a halal way, nor do they spend it in a halal way. With this lifestyle, the means of use also change. The tool is no longer money, but human beings. This is the starting point of the slavery order in all times. For such people there is disgrace in the life of this world and a painful torment in the Hereafter. Because they have given absolute power to money, not to Allah. Not recognising it as a tool and acting accordingly leads the person to stinginess and shirk.

And using it as an end and not as a means makes a person unlimited and unruly.

Allah (swt) says:

O you who believe! Do not make your charity vain, by insulting and offending, like the one who spends his wealth for the sake of showing off to people, while he does not believe in Allah and the Last Day. Such a one is like a rock on which there is a little earth and the heavy rain has left him naked. They will not gain anything from what they have earned. Allah does not guide the disbelieving people.[88]

The purpose of earning is to make sure that it is halal. This is so important that it affects not only the earner but also those under his/her responsibility.

Spending one’s halal earnings on those under one’s responsibility encourages one’s spouse to be obedient, oneself to be contented, and one’s baby to be a good son or daughter. This is an important factor that determines a person’s personality. In the Hereafter, it protects him and his family from punishment.

Allah (swt) says:

O you who believe, protect yourselves and your relatives from the Fire, whose fuel is mankind and stones. On it are angels who are very stern and strong. They do not rebel against whatever Allah has commanded them and they fulfil what they are commanded.[89]

The earning of money is closely related to a person’s deeds. If the earning is in the halal way, the deed will be righteous. If the money is not earned in a halal way, the owner finds disappointment at the end. The existence of halal earned money is a shield against wastage and its continuity is a shield against the loss of worship. Along with determining the area of expenditure, it also teaches the purpose of earning money to be spent. For this reason, the way a person spends money is a mirror showing how he earns himself.

The first reason that destroys personalities and states is incalculable debt. The reason why it is the cause of destruction is that it is not used or earned in halal ways. For this reason, interest is forbidden in Islam and halal earners are praised. Experience has shown that money earned through halal means has never been insufficient for its owner and has never left him in need of other means. Its absence has never caused misery. In particular, it has been an incentive to earn halal way again and again. With these features, it will be the most beneficial thing for its owner on the Day of Judgement.

Allah (swt) says:

Verily, those who do not hope to meet Us and are content with the life of this world and are satisfied with it, and those who are heedless of Our signs, their destination will be the Fire for the sins they have been earning.[90]

Use of Time

The most important thing that distinguishes time from other elements is that it is acquired with existence. Since it is gained without labour, its value is usually not understood. Time is the own property of the living being, which is emptied from the vault of life at a loss. It is the only capital of the human being, which starts with birth and continues indexed to breathing.

Time is a great account to be asked to man. Without it, the world and the things in it are of no importance. For this reason, it is he who makes the world and the things in it look ornate. It is condemned to flow continuously. The wisdom of this is that the human being should not be attached by heart to the things in the period he passes through.

Using time is similar to using water, which has the feature of fluidity. Water is a cause of existence for those who know how to use it, and a cause of drowning and destruction for those who do not know how to use it. Knowing or not knowing the use of time is just like that. In order to use it well, it is essential to know yourself and your environment properly. The absence of these means that there is no time to be used. Because this means that the given capital is spent by someone else. Only when one realises one’s own formation without being influenced by others will one feel the need to use time well in determining one’s destiny or in achieving one’s goals. For a believer in the world of tests, the only condition for winning is to use time well. The only condition for using time is to recognise one’s own self. These are related to knowing oneself and determining one’s destiny. If you cannot be yourself, the time you spend is not yours. Those who live like this do not use time as their own.

They put into practice whatever is true about the accepted destiny or personality. When they act with these truths, they use the time, which is the real capital, wastefully as someone else’s property. For this, they resort to ways of spending time as if they were spending from someone else’s pocket. People who make the salary day their goal and feel obliged to constantly look for something to kill time are from this group. People who live their lives in this way find salvation by seeking it in their nafs because they imprison their minds in their nafs. Because to aim for what pleases the ego means to act in accordance with that aim.

Since we cannot stop time, we need to address the conditions for the flow of time. We determine these in three ways: order, balance and harmony.

In order to be organised, we need to analyse how our time passes. Otherwise, we will have a life that we constantly encounter problems and consume in an effort to solve them.

For balanced use, the development of the value phenomenon must be completed. Our values are the rings of the chain that determine the personality in the best way. For this reason, people build their lives on the things they value. We reach the information about what people value from what they accept as valuable, and we reach the information about their personalities from what they value.

The colours and patterns of the dresses we like are full of data determining the personality of the owner. When we consider a person who follows the fashion while deciding to buy a dress, we see that this person takes his/her values from there. Since valuing creates values, we get information about the personality of the person with the dress he/she buys and how he/she wants to be remembered with the price he/she pays. Since fashion is constantly changed with the leadership of someone, we reach the information that a person with this personality devalues his/her time unbalancedly by trying to be remembered with precious things.

With this analysis and values, there is also the condition of being in harmony with the use of time by dominating it. Harmony is both the proof and the reward of dominating time. All the people who have made their names in history have achieved victory as a result of their adaptation to the place and time they were in.

Our Prophet (s.a.v.) says the following:

A wise person divides his time into four parts:

Worship

Self-accounting

Amri Bil Ma’ruf Neyh-i Anil Munker[91]

Halal earnings
