These attributes are divided into two as essential and subutive attributes of Allah. The essential attributes are unique to the essence of Allah and are not found in other beings.

Zati Attributes (Sıfat-ı Zatiyyesi):

Wujud: This attribute expresses the existence of Allah (swt). Allah exists. His existence is eternal. He is wâjib-ul-wujûd, that is, His existence is necessary.

Eternity: Allah Ta’ala’s existence has no beginning. The existence of Allâhu ta’âlâ has no beginning.

Baqa: It means that Allah Ta’ala’s existence has no end and always exists. There is no end to the existence of Allaah. It will never disappear.

Wahdaniyyah: It means that Allaah is one. Allaah has no partner or analogue in His essence, attributes and deeds.

Muhalafat-un lil-havadis: It means that Allâhu ta’âlâ is not like the beings that came into being afterwards. Allâhu ta’âlâ is not like any creature in His essence and attributes.

Qiyam bi-nafsihi: It means that Allâhu ta’âlâ abides with His essence without the need for any other being or place. Allâhu ta’âlâ abides by Himself. He is not in need of space. He existed when matter and space did not exist. Therefore, He is free from every need.

Subûti Attributes (Sublutiyyesi):

Life: It means that Allah has life. Allâhu ta’âlâ is alive. His life is not similar to the life of the creatures, and the life that is worthy and unique to His essence is eternal and everlasting.

Knowledge: It means that Allaah knows everything and His knowledge encompasses everything. Allaah knows everything. His knowledge is not like the knowledge of creatures.

Sem’: It means that Allaah hears everything. Allâhu ta’âlâ hears. He hears without means, without direction. His hearing is not like the hearing of servants.

Basar: Allâhu ta’âlâ sees everything. Allâhu ta’âlâ sees. He sees without tools and without conditions. His sight is not with the eyes.

Will: Allâhu ta’âlâ has will. He creates what He wills. Everything comes into existence by His will.

Power: Allaah is all-powerful. Nothing is too difficult for Him.

Kalâm: It means that Allaah speaks without the need for letters or sounds. Allaah is the speaker. His speech is not by means of tools, letters, sounds or language.

Taqwīn: Allaah is the Creator. There is no creator but Him. He creates everything.
