NEWS : Rotation of the planets around the sun

According to the theory of Ptolemy[190] in the 2nd century, the Earth was like a flat and motionless tray. The Earth was the centre of the universe. This belief continued until the 14th century. This century ended when Copernicus proved that the Earth revolves around the Sun. This had a very wide repercussion in the world in a short time. Copernicus was even considered the founder of the new science of astronomy with this discovery.

Allah (swt) had already destroyed this idea with the news He gave in the 7th century. Allah (swt) had already demolished this idea with the news He had given in the 7th century, saying that the heavens were rotating, “By the rotating heaven.”[191] And that the planets were on a determined orbit, “The sun cannot catch up with the moon, the night cannot overtake the day. They all float in one orbit.”[192] He informed us by saying.

Our researches have shown that the movement of the sun in its orbit is signalled by the verse, “The sun walks in its own orbit.”[193] The movement of the sun and the moon on their orbits is signalled by the verse, “(Allah) is He Who created the night, the day, the sun and the moon. Each one of them moves on an orbit with its own movement.”[195] In the Qur’an, the Qur’an reveals[196] to us human beings with the verse, “(Allah) is He Who created the night, the day, the sun and the moon. The Holy Qur’an foretold this event 922 years in advance.
